Teaching Philosophy

I am determined to teach students new movements and dance concepts that seem challenging by fostering a structured, creative space to try new things.
When teaching younger students, I value structured, organized, and fun classes. As my students grow, I will teach them to express themselves using their own, unique movement qualities. To do this, the structure of my class will evolve for the older students to become more self-expressive and to showcase their own creative voice. Improvisation and choreographic leadership will gradually be introduced so students are not overwhelmed while simultaneously giving them more ownership over their own creative decisions.
As a teacher, I want my students to find the studio a safe, free, expressive and motivating experience where they can work hard to become well-rounded individuals.
